Protect Your Lawn from Chafer Grubs

Chafer beetle larvae cause significant damage to grass roots, leading to slow growth and the appearance of yellow patches. Affected grass can be easily pulled up with little or no root development. These grubs feed on grass roots before burrowing deep into the soil, then lie dormant during winter, emerging as beetles in spring.

Signs of Chafer Grub Infestation

Wildlife, such as foxes and badgers, may damage your lawn while searching for grubs. Birds like rooks, magpies, crows, and woodpeckers feeding on your lawn often indicate a chafer grub infestation. If left untreated, re-infestation becomes inevitable, worsening the problem.

Break the Chafer Beetle Life Cycle with Nematodes

Our Chafer Grub Killer is an eco-friendly solution that is safe for children, pets, and wildlife. There’s no need to exclude anyone from treated areas, making it a perfect choice for family lawns.

When to Apply Chafer Grub Nematodes

If you've recently discovered chafer grubs in your lawn or had a severe infestation in the past, apply nematodes to moist lawns in April or May and again from August to early October, when the young larvae are most active. Though spring applications may help, late summer to autumn is the best time for effective control.

How to Apply Nematodes

Each nematode pack comes with clear instructions for easy application using a watering can or a nematode applicator. Apply to moist soil when the temperature is above 10ºC (50ºF). Ensure the soil remains moist for at least two weeks after applying nematodes. Don’t worry if temperatures drop slightly after application, as nematodes can survive mild frosts.
