Description
This polytunnel greenhouse provides a protected growing space designed to support plant cultivation in outdoor settings such as gardens and allotments. Construction and Design
The frame is manufactured from galvanised steel and fitted with 6mm twin-wall polycarbonate panels. Two full-height doors are positioned at opposite ends, improving access and airflow compared with single-door greenhouses. Each door is edged with a steel surround to help reduce draughts, and both openings measure 805mm wide.
Installation of polytunnel greenhouse
This greenhouse can be installed directly into the ground without the need for a separate base. Each upright includes T-shaped ground anchors that are dug into the soil during installation. For those who prefer a fixed base, the structure can alternatively be secured to a foundation using angle brackets.
Polycarbonate Panels of a large greenhouse
The UV-treated twin-wall polycarbonate panels are lightweight, impact resistant and supplied with a 5-year warranty. The double-wall construction improves insulation while filtering UV light, offering a practical alternative to traditional glass glazing.
Strength and Stability
Additional rigidity is provided by stainless steel base rails, while every vertical support is anchored into the ground for improved stability in exposed conditions.
Ventilation
Each door includes an integrated top ventilation section. Opening the upper panel allows warm air to escape while maintaining protection at ground level. This supports airflow, helps reduce heat stress during warmer periods and encourages cross ventilation throughout the structure.
Tear-Drop Shape
The tear-drop profile increases usable headroom inside the greenhouse and adds extra strength against wind loading.
