Description
Slug Nematodes provide a natural, non-toxic solution to rid your garden of slugs. These microscopic, transparent worms are safe to use around children, pets, and wildlife, as they feed and multiply inside the slug, eliminating it naturally.
These nematodes occur naturally in the soil, and by applying them, you are simply replenishing their numbers for enhanced slug control.
How Long Does It Take to See Results from Slug Nematodes?
Once applied, the slug nematodes cause slugs to stop feeding within a few days and they die within a week. For optimal control, reapply every 6 weeks. To protect your garden, start your slug control early and apply at least one week before planting to ensure it remains safe from slugs.
How to Apply Slug Nematodes to Your Garden
The slug nematodes come with clear instructions and can be applied using a watering can or a nematode applicator. Apply to moist soil when the soil temperature is above 5ºC (41ºF). Keep the soil moist for at least two weeks after application for effective results. Nematodes can survive occasional frost, so don’t worry if temperatures drop after application.
Please note that these are live nematodes with an expiry date, typically around two weeks from purchase. This product is non-returnable, so use the entire pack before the expiry date. Best applied from February/March to October.
