These narrow aluminium garden hoops provide a simple framework for supporting crop protection covers and climbing plants. Suitable for raised beds, narrow growing rows and compact garden spaces, they can be used with fleece, netting or jute mesh to create protected growing areas throughout the season.
The slim profile makes them particularly useful where space is limited, while also providing support for peas, beans and other climbing crops when covered with suitable netting.
Narrow Garden Hoops For Crop Protection
Position the hoops at regular intervals and cover with fleece, netting or other protective materials to create a low tunnel over crops. This can help shield plants from pests and adverse weather while maintaining easy access for garden maintenance.
Suitable For Pea And Bean Support
When combined with jute netting or similar support material, the hoops can be used as a growing frame for peas and beans. The structure provides support for climbing stems while keeping growing areas tidy and organised.
Dimensions And Covering Requirements
Each hoop measures 95cm high and 33cm wide. Once inserted approximately 15cm into firm soil, the erected height is around 80cm. For effective coverage, a minimum fabric width of 2 metres is recommended to allow the material to drape over the frame and be secured at ground level.
Supplied With 19mm Pipe Clips
Each set includes 19mm pipe clips for securing fleece, netting or other coverings to the frame. The clips help keep materials in position throughout the growing season.
Optional Support Bars
For additional stability in exposed locations, support bars can be added to the frame. Compatible options include the 900mm aluminium hoop support bar and the 1.2m cloche support bar. Please note that support bars shown in product images are sold separately and are not included with the hoops.
Materials And Compatibility
Manufactured from 19mm aluminium tubing, these hoops are designed for repeated garden use. Due to the thicker wall construction, joiners and extension poles from other hoop ranges are not compatible with this model.
