How nematode pearls work in the soil
Each pearl is formed from a hydrogel coating that holds thousands of microscopic nematodes. After watering, the coating softens and breaks down, allowing the nematodes to move through the soil where they locate and act on pest larvae naturally.
Where nematode pearls can be applied
Use around the base of plants in pots, borders, raised beds, greenhouse soil, and vegetable plots. They are designed for any growing area where pests live beneath the soil surface.
This makes them particularly useful for dealing with hidden infestations that affect roots before visible damage appears.
Reapplication guidance
To maintain consistent results, repeat treatments are recommended. Apply weekly for a minimum of five applications to keep pest activity under control. The extended shelf life means you can store and use the product when needed rather than all at once.
Best conditions for application
Apply during cooler parts of the day such as evening, or when conditions are cloudy or damp. Soil temperature should be at least 5°C. Contains approximately 10 million nematodes, including Steinernema feltiae and Steinernema carpocapsae.
For mixed fruit and vegetable crops, use between April and October when pest activity is highest.
