Suitable for - this 3 Tray Tiger Wormery is suitable for households with 3-4 people and is our best-selling wormery.

How The Tiger Wormery Works - consisting of three sturdy nesting trays with a lid, drainage sump and stand which forms a neat, compact portable unit. Based on 'upward migration' start off with one tray. Once the first tray is full, place another empty trap on top and start adding your food waste to this tray. The worms will follow the food up into the next tray through the mesh base when they're ready. You do the same again with the third tray. By the time the third tray is full, the bottom tray should contain compost ready to harvest.

This Tiger Wormery comes with everything you need to get started: 100 Tiger Worms or a Worm Voucher - If you are buying this wormery as a gift or don?t intend to set it up straight away, we suggest you get it delivered with a worm card voucher instead of live worms. Then when your ready to get started return the worm card by post and the live tiger worms will be sent out.

1.5kg Lime Mix - keep your worms thriving with our environmentally friendly soft lime mix. This mix will ensure that the environment in the Wormery is stable and non-acidic. Simply add a handful every month, or more if you use lots of acidic fruits. Typically a 1.5kg bag of environmentally-friendly mix should last at least six months and will keep your wormery stable and non-acidic.

Three Composting Trays Plus Lid - start off with using one tray and when it becomes full then add the next tray. By the time the third tray is full the bottom tray should contain compost ready to use. Typically this will take about 6 months (or longer) from when you first set up the system.

Coir Worm Bedding - used when setting up the wormery, this forms the bedding for the worms as they settle in.

Drainage Sump Tray And Tap - enable you to drain the liquid feed produced during the composting process. You should be able to start tapping this liquid off after about 10 weeks, then empty the sump every couple of weeks. To use dilute the liquid with ten parts of water to one part of liquid.

Location- these wormeries can be used indoors or outdoors. Wherever you decide to put wormery it needs to be frost-free during the winter. Perhaps an outhouse, garage, shed or utility room would be ideal for the colder months.
