Description
BioFleece is a 100% biodegradable garden fleece designed to protect plants from cold weather and frost. It works by creating an insulating air pocket around plants, helping to reduce frost damage while still allowing air, light, and water to pass through. Easy to cut and shape, BioFleece can be adapted to suit different plants and garden layouts.
Why Choose BioFleece Biodegradable Garden Fleece
Most garden fleeces are made from petroleum-based plastics such as polypropylene or polythene. BioFleece is made from plant-based PLA derived from corn starch, offering the same level of frost protection without plastic waste. It performs in the same way as traditional fleece but naturally biodegrades after use.
BioFleece is available in two thicknesses to suit different weather conditions:
-
BioFleece 18 (18gsm) – lightweight protection for mild frost, down to -1°C
-
BioFleece 30 (30gsm) – heavier fleece for colder conditions, down to -5°C

How to Use BioFleece Biodegraqdable Fleece
Lay BioFleece directly over plants or drape it over a support frame. Secure the edges with pegs, soil, or stones. The fleece can be left in place during watering, as it allows water and air to pass through. When covering flowering plants, lift the fleece during the day to allow pollinators access, and replace it in the evening as temperatures fall.
After use, brush clean and store in a dark, dry place. BioFleece has a usable lifespan of up to two years, similar to standard plastic fleece.
