Yard Art Pet Poo Composter Complete Package Deal

Despatched direct from the UK stockists in 3-5 days.
One of the most environmental ways to compost your dog’s business this Pet Poo Composter uses composting worms and microbes to break down dog poo into castings. Plus, unlike other composters available to compost dog poo, this one has been specially designed to also compost your kitchen scraps – with a ratio of 50% kitchen scraps and 50% dog poo being the perfect combination of what to add to this composter.

The slits at the base of the composter (the base will be buried in soil) allow the composting worm to move in and out of the composter, feeding on the waste in your bin and taking it with them. In this way the worms will be improving the nutrients within the soil with their castings, their burrowing will create ‘tunnels’ which gives a better structure to the soil and is great for improving clay soils. These slits also allow any liquid fertiliser generated during the composting process to drain into the soil improving the nutrient levels

With this money saving package deal you will not only receive the composter, you will also get everything you need to get started – including coir bedding, a worm voucher for 750g composting worms and 850g of worm farm compost conditioner.

Easy Maintenance – once a week use a compost aerator, garden fork or something similar, to stir the contents of the bin, helping to aerate the contents and bringing the worms to the surface of the unit, these helps speed up the composting process. Add a handful of the Compost Conditioner included to help balance the pH and reduce odours. Check that the contents of the bin are moist – add water if you need to as the contents should not be allowed to go dry or hard.

Self-Assembly :
Supplied for simple self assembly, it is supplied with screws, washers and nuts to complete assembly. Once you have assembled the composter find a suitable place for you to site it. It needs to be sunk into the ground – you should not place it in a vegetable patch or herb garden but it can be placed anywhere in your garden where you have not got plants growing which will be eaten, so near a tree or by shrubs or flowers will be ideal. It is the lower section of the composter which will be buried in the ground so you’ll need to dig a hole approx. 13in / 32cm deep by 16in / 40cm square.
