Standard Features and Benefits

Overlap pressure treated sheds and workshops are constructed from rough sawn boards that overlap each other which allow flexibility and movement and have been pressure treated for long life.

Pressure treated sheds have been impregnated with Osmose Naturewood preservative (a timber preservative containing copper and an organic co-biocide) to protect the wood from fungal decay and insect damage. In addition, during the pressure treating process a decorative dye is added to ensure the timber is coloured and preserved in one operation - this colour will fade over time to a honey brown colour. If you want to apply any stains or water repellents these can be applied providing you follow the manufacturer's instructions. It is important to note that if Osmose treated timber is cut, notched or drilled it is recommended that an approved cut end treatment be applied. Failure to do so may reduce the effectiveness of the treatment.

The sheds in this range are all manufactured using 28m x 28m framing, board floor and roof sections with a a green mineral felt to create a weatherproof roof. Smooth planed finial and barge boards create an attractive finish. Where fixed windows are included these are glazed with virtually unbreakable polycarbonate, which will not become yellow or brittle over time.

Doors have been designed to be sturdy and secure. They feature double 'z' framing for added strength and have hidden hinges and plate hasp and staple latch for enabling maximum security. For flexibility single doors can be hung from the left or right hand edge.

These shed comes with a 15 year anti-rot guarantee, as long as assembly instructions are followed and if the timber is cut during assembly or any time afterwards it must be treated with a suitable preservative in order to re-seal the timber and protect it from water ingress and fungal attack. These conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
