Thermostats

Horticultural Thermostats are important if you are going to be successful in the cultivation of your own plants. They are an accurate way of controlling electrical appliances so enabling you to create the correct environment for your plants to grow. Plants will only be able to absorb nutrients, water and carbon dioxide when they are in an area which is neither too hot nor too cold. If the conditions aren't correct there will be no photosynthesis and your plants won't grow correctly. With proper control of the temperature your plants will show healthy growth.
Thermostats can be used to control heating appliances or cooling appliances. You can set a heater thermostat to a desired temperature you want to achieve in a given area. The thermostat then senses the air temperature in the area it is placed and controls the appliance it is wired to to achieve the desired temperature. It does this by switching heating or cooling devices on or off to maintain the correct temperature. When the air temperature falls below the thermostat setting it will switch on the heating appliance. Once the temperature is achieved the thermostat turns of the appliance. In this way the thermostat maintains the required temperature and money is not wasted by over heating an area.
