This Gripple Plant Support System is the fastest way to trellis climbing plants, fruits and vegetables and this Starter Pack provides you with everything you'll need to get started.
Each Starter Kit Includes:
30 metres of Nylon Trellis Wire - 3mm diameter, lightweight, flexible plastic wire to train your plants onto.
Can be threaded through vine eyes, around posts etc and cut to length using a pair of secateurs (there is no metal core - making cutting easy and providing a rust free support). To make it easy the wire is supplied on a reel - our top tip is when you're dispensing the wire you always pull the wire from the centre of the reel.
4 Gripple Tensioners - these tensioners remove the need for twisting and knotting of the support wire, which can cause weak points.
Within the joiners are serrated rollers which allow the wire to pass smoothly through in one direction only, if any load is applied in the opposite direction, the rollers bite, locking the wire in place.
Use to produce secure joins and allow minimum effort to be used to create highly tensioned wires for maximum support as plants grow.
4 Vine Eyes - these metal vine eyes have a total length of 3" (7.5cm). Ideally we recommend that vine eyes are placed every 3 to 3.5 metres to provide a secure support point for the wire.
