Bird Netting - also known as anti-bird netting - is designed to protect fruit and vegetables from birds. This netting can be used to cover cages or fit over garden hoops or it can be draped directly over fruit, fruit trees or vegetables. Our Bird Netting can also be used for covering ponds, protecting fish from herons or simply to keep leaves out of the pond. It can even be used for protecting newly sown lawns. Whilst deterring birds, the netting is small enough that birds won't become entangled in it, but is large enough to allow smaller essential pollinating insects through.A black plastic square mesh, the netting is easier to install than knitted nets. Strong, yet lightweight, the netting is robust enough for covering cages, yet is flexible enough to be draped directly over crops. Available in three different widths, simply order the number of metres you require. Although normally thought of for protecting crops, our bird netting is strong enough to support plants as they grow. It is ideal for lightweight climbers like sweet peas or runner beans. It can also be attached to fences or arches to provide long-lasting plant support.
