A 1” diameter tubular aluminium framework connected by supremely strong, galvanised steel joints gives a Fruit Cage that will last for years. The strength of these cages makes them the best option for exposed areas, when you need to protect your crops from larger pests such as rabbits, deer etc or if you want a frame which you can cover with a thicker mesh such as windbreak netting.

Standard to our heavy duty fruit cages:
8’ (244cm) long uprights are pushed into the ground 12” (30cm) , resulting in a 7’ (214cm) high cage
Based on 8’ (244cm) spans to prodice an extremely stable structure – so there is an upright at every 8’ (244cm) point within a fruit cage
Available with either butterfly net or bird net – butterfly net is a 10mm square mesh whilst bird net is a 20mm square mesh
Supplied complete with all the netting clips and ground pegs to secure the net to the framework of the cage

Please Note:
In snowy weather butterfly netting and bird netting should either be removed or replaced by larger span pigeon netting to allow snow to fall through – wet snow is very heavy! Pigeon netting is available to purchase seperately.
