Step
One
Place a dry Slice into a bowl of water or liquid feed.
|
Step
Two
Leave the slices in water overnight to soak up
loads of water.
|
Step
Three
The Slices are now ready to use.
|
The polymer structure of the Slices enables them to soak up and
store masses of water for weeks. If you allow them to dry out
completely at the end of a season, you can then store them away
until ready to reuse – so you’ll be able to use them
over and over again.
 |
Extremely
versatile, these slices can be used to:
- Keep pot plants watered – ideal for when
you’re away, simple place the slice in the bottom of a
watertight container, placing the plant pot on top. One slice
should be sufficient to provide enough water for a week – you
can increase this by adding more and more slices.
- Use to watering plants in containers or
troughs – place wet water slices at the base of the
container prior to filling with compost and plants. Every time you
water these slices will soak up the water and them slowly release
it to the plants – so reducing the number of times you need
to water.
|
|
- Help retain moist compost in hanging baskets
– it’s often difficult to keep plants within hanging
baskets watered sufficiently. These slices can be placed in the
base of baskets prior to planting – they then act as water
reservoirs, storing up water and releasing it over time to your
plants.
- Flower pouches and towers can be kept well
watered – by adding Slices into the compost as you
plant them up. The slices can be cut into smaller pieces where a
complete slice will not fit.

No Under or Over Watering
When you use Water Slices the chance of plants being under or over
watered is greatly reduced. When you water the Slices will soak up
loads of water and as the compost dries the Slices will release
more water until they dry out. As the water is held within the
structure of the Slices, the plant roots won’t become water
logged.
