Elite 5’3½" (1610mm) wide Streamline Free-Standing Greenhouse

Elite have developed the design of the Streamline greenhouse to provide the gardeners with limited space, small gardens or who only require a small greenhouse with a quality greenhouse providing the same high quality features of their larger greenhouses in a smaller version.

At just of 5’ wide free-standing staging can be easily accommodated down both sides of the greenhouses allowing you to make best use of the space available. And by maintaining a decent height at eaves and ridge maximum growing space is provided and good air circulation assured.

Standard Features

Framework
Both the frame and integral base of the greenhouse are manufactured from strong, maintenance-free aluminium. The built-in gutter along both sides of the greenhouse provides extra strength at the eaves & enables easy rainwater collection with the addition of a Rainwater Collection Kit.

Finish
The framework of the greenhouse is available in either plain aluminium or with a smart, durable powder coated finish. Available in white, green or brown & supplied complete with neat bolt head covers (black covers with green & brown finish, white covers with white finish) the coloured finish greatly enhances the overall appearance of the greenhouse.

Whatever finish you choose the frame is easy to keep clean – you can keep plain aluminium looking good by regularly washing the framework with soapy water whilst a coloured finish needs very little attention.

Glazing
The greenhouse is glazed to the ground for maximum light transmission. You can choose from either:
Horticultural Glass – 3mm horticultural glass which is held in place using strong, stainless steel glazing clips.
Toughened Glass – 4mm toughened glass to BS 6206 Grade A. Choose this high quality glass for added strength (for example when greenhouse is to be located in an exposed area) & safety (for families with young children, pets etc.). The toughened glass is supplied in large panes so fewer joints or overlaps are required, improving the appearance of the greenhouse.
Polycarbonate Glazing – 6mm UV stabilised polycarbonate. Shatterproof & virtually unbreakable polycarbonate has excellent light transmission & heat retention properties. Choose this glazing when maximum safety is required.

When glazing a greenhouse with either toughened glass or polycarbonate PVC Bar Capping can be purchased to hold the glazing in place. Bar capping fits down the vertical glazing bars of the greenhouse, resting over the edge of the glazing it holds it very securely in place.

Ventilation
The Streamline greenhouses are supplied with one 2’ x 2’ (610mm x 610mm) opening roof vent.

Where more ventilation is required – useful in the height of summer or when growing alpines - you can purchase either:
Additional Roof Vents – these can be sited in every other roof panel (they CAN NOT be sited side be side). You can automate the opening of these vents – useful when you’re at work or away on holiday – by purchasing Bayliss XL Vent Openers.

Louvre Windows – a five bladed louvre glazed to match the greenhouse glazing. Site either in the opposite gable to the door or in either side of the greenhouse. Install near the base of the greenhouse for maximum air circulation. Although louvre windows CAN NOT be sited side by side they can be placed in every 2’ (610mm) length of the greenhouse by installing higher in alternate panes. To automate the opening of the louvres simply fit Automatic Louvre Openers.

Assembly
All Elite greenhouses are supplied with comprehensive instructions & are delivered flat pack for self assembly.

Delivery Time
Please allow 5 weeks for delivery for greenhouses with plain aluminium frames.
For greenhouses with a powder coated coloured frame please allow 9 weeks for delivery.
Elite deliver their greenhouses using their own transport. For efficient delivery please ensure you supply a complete delivery address & a contact telephone number (Elite will then be able to advise you of a delivery date).

By Quotation – as Elite use their own transport to deliver the greenhouses they DO NOT cover all areas in Scotland, or deliver to Scottish Highlands or Isles of Man, Wight & Scilly, Northern Ireland or Channel Isles. We will therefore contact all customers in Scotland or any of the named areas with a quote for delivery.
