Traditional Thermometers

Traditional thermometers are often the cheapest type of thermometer to use in your greenhouse. They will show you the temperature in both degrees centigrade and fahrenheit, which you read off the thermometer from the calibrations, marked up the side of the thermometer. Thermometers are used to measure the temperature in your greenhouse – this is often important at night when temperatures can fall. The most often used thermometer for watching temperatures in your greenhouse is a maximum / minimum thermometer as this will show you the lowest and highest temperatures reached in your greenhouse. For helping check soil temperatures when germinating seeds a simple soil thermometer will show you the temperature exactly where germination is taking place.
