Watering houseplants correctly is essential for healthy growth. The main reason why houseplants fail is because they are either overwatered or under watered – both of which will damage the plant and potentially result in the plant dying. Often we don’t think to water our plants until they start to droop (which is often too late to prevent some damage to the plant) or we stand the plants in a pot or saucer with water in the base (which can cause the roots of the plants to rot).
