Hedge and Shrub Shears

Hedge or shrub shears will help you to keep shrubs, grasses and even small trees trim and tidy. When choosing which shears to buy the main choice is to decide whether to buy powered shears (battery or electric) or hand shears. Hand shears are more traditional and will provide you with more accuracy. However, if you’ve lots of hedge to trim than a pair of powered shears will be more efficient as they will make the cutting process much quicker. Electric shears are provided ready to plug in and use – new designs are easy to manoeuvre and are relatively lightweight. However, if you want to avoid being restricted by the length of mains cable you might prefer a pair of battery powered shears. Although these will be slightly heavier they do give you more freedom when cutting. If you’ve only a small hedge, or shrubs to keep tidy, then choose a traditional pair of hand shears. These will allow you to work close to what you’re trimming, so will be very accurate.
