TWO WESTS' FAB4 PROPAGATOR
IDEAL FOR FIRST-TIME GARDENERS
The new Fab4 Propagator from Two Wests and Elliott is ideal for anyone new to gardening who is keen to raise their own bedding plants or tender vegetables from seed - and at just 15½in by 9½in it is also the perfect solution where space is at a premium. Based on the company's best-selling Window Sill Propagator, it comes complete with four quarter-size seed trays and covers, allowing a good variety of young plants to be raised in a very small area.
The Fab4 Propagator is easy to use and it is designed to raise the temperature of the compost 8*C above the ambient temperature. Its power consumption is just 10 watts. Two Wests' Lucie Bradley believes the Fab4 can bring a whole new dimension to many gardeners' activity. "It's just the job for raising bedding plants such as busy lizzie and geranium, and greenhouse vegetables such as tomato, cucumber and pepper which need plenty of warmth for high and even germination. I can also recommend it for striking cuttings", says Lucie.
Also new from Two Wests for 2010 is the Heat and Grow Variable Temperature Propagator, which comes complete with seed trays and flower pots - all the gardener has to supply is compost and seeds. A 'must' for the enthusiastic grower, it has variable temperature control from 12-28*C (47-81*F) and an automatic re-set thermostat, which allows it to return to its earlier setting after a power cut. It is also energy-efficient with a consumption of just 22 watts.
The Heat and Grow Variable Temperature propagator is 20½in long, 16½in wide and 11in high and has a 3ft long mains lead. It is supplied with one large and two smaller seed trays and 10 small flower pots.
