January 2010 New Catalogue, Full of great products and ideas for all gardeners.
Two Wests and Elliott, the UK's leading mail order supplier of top quality equipment for greenhouse and garden, has launched its new season 2010 catalogue. The 116 full-colour pages offer a huge range of carefully chosen products aimed at all gardeners from super-keen exhibitors to those considering growing their own fruit, vegetables or flowers for the first time. It features everything from shelving and staging to fruit cages, from heating and insulation to raised beds and greenhouses.
The new catalogue has an easy-to-read format and contains plenty of advice from Two Wests & Elliott's own team of experts and writers from a range of popular gardening magazines. The result is a mini-reference book with plenty of tips on how to get the best from the garden, allotment, patio or balcony.
Among the new products in the catalogue is the Vertical Garden, which is ideal for those who have no garden, but would like to grow their own fruit and vegetables. A framework of rot-proof aluminium holds heat absorbing, black, 6in deep, plastic trays, which have plenty of room for root growth. The Vertical Garden is ideal for growing plants from seeds, cuttings or plugs all the way through to harvest. Each tier is height-adjustable to accomodate plants of different heights, measures 22in by 35½in and holds up to 65 litres of compost.
Another great new idea for where space is limited is the Fab4 Propagator which measures just 15½in by 9½in and comes complete with four quarter-seed trays and a cover. It allows a variety of different plants to be raised in a very small space. Designed to increase the compost temperature 8*C above the ambient temperature, the Fab4 Propagator uses just 10 watts of power.
Rather larger at 30in by 16in by 14in high is the Big Top Proagator, perfect for accomodating taller plants. Its cover has a long lasting aluminium frame glazed in clear acrylic, a lift-off lid and four adjustable vents. The Big Top Propagator uses just 50 watts of power and has a 5ft long mains lead.
While the company's Large Raised Bed (3ft 3in square and 10in deep) is already popular with Two Wests and Elliott's customers, it can now be used as a mini-fruit or vegetable cage with the introduction of the Pop-Up Net Cover. The 6mm net cover has a flexible zinc wire frame which arrives ready assembled and folded flat, all ready to 'pop up' into shape when required. It fits snugly over the raised bed and comes complete with ground stakes for secure anchorage. Offering protection against birds, rabbits and larger insects, the 3ft 11in high Pop-Up Net Cover can be easily lifted off to reach the plants.
The Hinged Lid Cold Frame has been re-styled for 2010 and the two hinged roof panels can be fixed in a choice of four opening positions, removed or locked shut, offering great versatility. The long lasting aluminium frame is maintenace-free while its virtually clear double-skinned polycarbonate glazing allows maximum light penetration. It is 4ft 1in long, 2ft 3in wide and 16in high at the back, sloping to 12in. Very easy to assemble, the Hinged Lid Cold Frame comes with pre-assembled panels.
Growbag gardening has never been more popular and now the production of delicious crops is assured with the introduction of the Growbag Garden from Two Wests and Elliott. Quick and easy to assemble, its tubular steel frame has a weatherproof finish over which the UV-stabilised, shaped cover fits securely. It is the perfect size to fit over a Growbag and excellent ventilation is provided by side vents fitted with fine mesh fly-screen panels. This Growbag Garden is 2ft deep, 3ft 7in long and 4ft 10in at the back, sloping to 4ft 5in at the front.
